The York Shire has created a small MX circuit available for public use. Facilities include toilets, gas barbecue, covered shelter, benches, car parking area and ute unloading bay. A separate ‘Junior Nippers’ track has been created for under 16s on bikes less than 85cc. The main MX track has some good jumps (with no-jump alternative lines) and a solid, well graded surface. Current status –

  • The Shire of York has just given the area a major upgrade.  Most riders are considerate to other users and do the right thing in terms of keeping the place clean.

RTRA has often cited the York Off Road Vehicle Area as a model for distributed, smaller areas to provide facilities – particularly for younger riders.

We applaud the Shire of York for their foresight in developing this area and hope that users continue to do the right thing and respect the area, other users and the local neighbours
