Pinjar - Controlled Burn Saturday 28th April

28-Apr-2018

Parks and Wildlife has advised that there will be a controlled burn in the southern part of the Pinjar Motorcycle Area today.

The Pinjar Motorcycle Area will remain open, but there will be no entry to the area via Wattle Ave East, or the southern end of Orchid Road. All entry must be via Orchid Road off Wesco Road.

Parks and Wildlife advised that it was not their preference to conduct the burn on a weekend day, or during school holidays, but the timing of these important burns is dictated by weather conditions. They apologise for any inconvenience to riders.

It is expected that the southern entrance to Orchid Road will be re-opened on Sunday afternoon, however it would be best to plan to avoid this entry over the weekend.

All riders are asked to avoid the southern end of the Pinjar Motorcycle Area, and to take extra care throughout the area as there will be fire appliances and Parks and Wildlife vehicles throughout the area over the weekend.
